Chiefs Draft

One of the most exciting times of the year for a NFL fan is the NFL Draft where the foundation of a team is built. This draft is the most important for the Chiefs because it is the first with new G.M Scott Pioli. The Chiefs look to do better then last years 2-14 record which shouldn't be hard according to new Chiefs coach Todd Haley who says he can win 2 games with players off the street. In order to do so the Chiefs must have a good draft this year and with so many holes to fill who knows where the Chiefs will go with there first pick ?

Lets make predictions afterall that is what blogs are for right? I don't think the Chiefs will draft Wake Forest Linebacker Aaron Curry with there first round pick for a few reasons, one being teams usually don't draft a Linebacker in the top 3 because it's not as valuable of a position line O-line, D-line, Or Quarterback. If the Chiefs want to play the 3-4 defense they will need a dominate nose guard however neither Tank Tyler or Ron Edwards are exactly pro-bowlers so who can the Chiefs draft? They can draft B.J Raji who has red flags and would be a reach at three. I think the best pick at three would be Eugene Monroe who played alongside Branden Albert at Virginia. Drafting Monroe would give the Chiefs two excellent young tackles along with a Quarterback and Wide Reciever. The Chiefs could also trade down a few spots still draft Monroe and add some draft picks which Scott Pioli liked to do in New England.
